  • Unfortunately one owner is very allergic which we didn’t realise until after we got Max. He is also definitely an outdoor dog and with changes to working schedules we can’t take him out as much as he needs.

Description

Max is a gorgeous springer spaniel who we rescued at 10 weeks old from a neglectful situation. Despite this, we have never had any behavioural issues with Max. He is loving, energetic and curious. Although the occasional shoe has been chewed and a sock has mysteriously disappeared! He likes to be distracted, so chewy toys and pigs ears are a go to for Max before he finds other things. He loves long walks and meeting other dogs. We have never had issues with other dogs and Max, he will be very excited but doesn’t jump or nip. Max requires further recall training and cannot be let off the lead unless in a confined space. We take him to a dog park where after he has calmed down from all the excitement and done some zoomies he will come back, sit and lie down on command. We have 2 children aged 3 and 6 and Max has been brilliant with both of them. He will gently take treats from their hands and listen to commands from them in the home environment. At the end of the day, Max does enjoy snuggling on the sofa or on a fluffy rug. At night Max is very settled and rarely do we hear a peep out of him when he is downstairs sleeping. With the right person who can give Max lots of space to run and play, he is a brilliant dog.
