Description

Husky/malamute mix. Indie is a sweetheart some of the time, grumpy other times and playful in between. She has a high prey drive and cannot be let off the lead unless with an experienced dog owner. She is very temperamental in her mood. As she has gotten older she has become a much more nervous dog. She just needs someone who will respect her space but who is there for her when she needs it. She is good with children but they would need constant supervision as she isn’t always amenable. It’s hard for her to trust new people as she came from an abusive background and it takes her a while to trust but once she does she is a sweetheart. She gets along with other animals but again she’s temperamental so it depends on the day. She has been with our family since she was approximately a year and a half.

FurDopt Safety Advice: You MUST read our buyer's checklist before contacting the advertiser.

Buyer's checklist to avoid scams!

Keep all communication on Furdopt.com – Avoid moving to external platforms where scams are common.
Never send a deposit unless you have viewed the pet in person – Scammers often ask for upfront payments and disappear.
Don’t share your ID or personal details – Protect yourself from identity theft and fraud.
Beware of phishing scams – Avoid clicking on suspicious links or emails asking for login details.
Be responsible, do your own research – Verify the seller, their background, and the pet’s history.
Ask lots of questions – A genuine seller will provide health records, vaccination details, and pet history.
Meet in a safe place – Always visit the seller’s premises to see the pet in a secure environment.
Check for warning signs – Unusually low prices, urgency, or reluctance to meet in person are red flags.
Request vet records and microchip details – Ensure the pet is healthy and legally registered.
Avoid sellers who refuse video calls or in-person meetings – Scammers often hide behind fake listings.
Trust your instincts – If something feels off, walk away and report suspicious listings.
