Additional information

  • Is your pet comfortable around other dogs?
  • Unsure
  • Bruce has shown territorial behaviours towards other dogs when they pass his territory. He can also lunge and bark on walks but we think this may be to do with him being territorial over our other dog as well. He does get along with some dogs just need to first meet both on leads and watch Bruce closely. He gets along well with our other dog but they bounce off eachother which is why we think he’d be better as an only pet.
  • Is your pet comfortable around other cats?
  • No
  • Is your pet comfortable around children?
  • 11–15 years old
  • Why are you looking to rehome this pet?
  • We’re sadly rehoming Bruce due to our living conditions not meeting his needs. He has shown territorial behaviours towards other dogs, so it would be best for Bruce to be in a household with no other pets and an enclosed garden. We live in a caravan without a garden and due to Bruce’s territorial behaviour we’ve been asked to muzzle him at all times outside as there are lots of other dogs on-site. We feel he deserves to have an outside space to be free in. He is not aggressive, he just needs to be with someone with patience to continue his training and more space.

  • Does your pet require a secure outdoor space?
  • Yes

Description

Bruce is a sweet, cuddly mixed terrier who loves to be around people and toys. He’s affectionate and generally well-behaved, and happiest when he’s part of family life. Bruce loves walks, lots of attention and playtime. He is the sweetest boy and very loyal, energetic and loving. Bruce will come with toys, a bed, 2 months of flea and worm treatment, food etc. We privately rescued him from a neighbours friend and he was mistreated before he came here but happy to explain more to a potential owner. We would like to either meet or have a call with potential owners as it’s very import to us he goes to the right home. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion, Bruce could be the perfect match. Please message with any questions or wanting any further information.

FurDopt Safety Advice: You MUST read our buyer's checklist before contacting the advertiser.

Buyer's checklist to avoid scams!

Keep all communication on Furdopt.com – Avoid moving to external platforms where scams are common.
Never send a deposit unless you have viewed the pet in person – Scammers often ask for upfront payments and disappear.
Don’t share your ID or personal details – Protect yourself from identity theft and fraud.
Beware of phishing scams – Avoid clicking on suspicious links or emails asking for login details.
Be responsible, do your own research – Verify the seller, their background, and the pet’s history.
Ask lots of questions – A genuine seller will provide health records, vaccination details, and pet history.
Meet in a safe place – Always visit the seller’s premises to see the pet in a secure environment.
Check for warning signs – Unusually low prices, urgency, or reluctance to meet in person are red flags.
Request vet records and microchip details – Ensure the pet is healthy and legally registered.
Avoid sellers who refuse video calls or in-person meetings – Scammers often hide behind fake listings.
Trust your instincts – If something feels off, walk away and report suspicious listings.
