Description

Ari is sweet, fiercely loyal, very loving and adores fuss and people. She has never lived with children and never shown an interest so I wouldn't recommend she lives with anyone under 16 years. Ari needs to be an only pet. Her home is her castle and she really struggles to share our home and garden with our other dog and three cats, despite the cats being here first. Ari, in this respect, is unpredicibly unpredictable. Shes fine with them sometimes, other times she hurts them, needing vet treatment. Our other dog has been nipped by her a fair few times. We've worked with our vet and a behaviourist and identified the issue as sharing space at home, which is why she needs rehoming as an only pet. This will reduce her stress levels and give her a happy life. Ari is mostly fine away from home, we have never had any incidents except from in cafes if other dogs bark at her. She goes to daycare once a week with no issues. Ari's favourite things are chicken and pizza, and hoing to the beach with a ball. She loves dartmoor and just going out and exploring the world. Shes great in the car, on trains and ferries. She loves snoozing in the sun and spending lots of time in the garden. Her ideal home would be where she isn't left alone for too long - fine with up to 4 hours a couple of times a week. She loves companionship and time together. She needs experienced owners who can get her stress levels down, and off her stress meds (£12 monthly). And also, we would prefer someone fairly close so a transition period could happen to give Ari time to adjust. We would also love to keep in touch now and then, and bring her gifts from time to time.

Buyer's checklist to avoid scams!

Keep all communication on Furdopt.com – Avoid moving to external platforms where scams are common.
Never send a deposit unless you have viewed the pet in person – Scammers often ask for upfront payments and disappear.
Don’t share your ID or personal details – Protect yourself from identity theft and fraud.
Beware of phishing scams – Avoid clicking on suspicious links or emails asking for login details.
Be responsible, do your own research – Verify the seller, their background, and the pet’s history.
Ask lots of questions – A genuine seller will provide health records, vaccination details, and pet history.
Meet in a safe place – Always visit the seller’s premises to see the pet in a secure environment.
Check for warning signs – Unusually low prices, urgency, or reluctance to meet in person are red flags.
Request vet records and microchip details – Ensure the pet is healthy and legally registered.
Avoid sellers who refuse video calls or in-person meetings – Scammers often hide behind fake listings.
Trust your instincts – If something feels off, walk away and report suspicious listings.
